About Matt Griesmyer:
I am a hard working, talented graphic designer, writer, editor, artist and photographer.
I have more than 5 years experience in the communications sector ranging from writing to photography to graphic and web design.
I have served as the editor for The Signal, the newspaper at the University of Houston-Clear Lake for the past two semesters, as well as the co-editor of Bayousphere, the campus' literary magazine for Fall '09. Also in my tenure at UHCL, I have served as Vice-President of the Communication Association, developing and organizing several events within the organization.
My work experience is wide and diverse, with several leadership roles. I have been a pastry chef at one of Houston's top restaurants, which has taught me a painstaking attention to detail that is paramount in the media industry. I have served the public in hospitality roles which has given me a unique ability to talk and understand the needs of my clients. I have been a lead sales consultant at a retail store which has further enhanced my ability to anticipate and fulfill customer's needs, as well as lead a group of sales consultants. Most recently, I am currently a reporter at a community newspaper which has garnered me a positive and trustworthy reputation within the neighborhoods, as well as the most valuable experience of being a team producing a weekly newspaper highlighting events locally.
